The "surfskate," as the name suggests, is a skateboard used to surf on asphalt.

What matters most in a surfskate, therefore, is how closely it mimics surfing in terms of movement and executing tricks, as if you were surfing in the sea.

OVNI surfskates are the only ones that allow you to simulate surfing in an absolutely faithful way. In addition to offering equipment that simulates surfing different types of surfboards, we also invented the first true surfskate through a series of innovations in almost every aspect of the equipment, making it as identical as possible to a surfboard in our COSMIC, WOODS, and CX-CLASSIC quiver.

In addition to the movement, there are also aesthetic and tactile considerations that help increase the sensation of surfing, such as:

- OVNI surfskates have the appearance of a surfboard, with their outlines, convex shapes and rocker curve, shiny finish, tail deck, and leash cup;

-  OVNI surfskates offer the same tactile sensation as a surfboard, with the surfboard-like tail deck and the possibility to apply surfwax for the same grip as a surfboard.

OVNI also cares about creating the best surfskates for fun and learning, with models that are extremely easy to use, even for those who have never ridden a skateboard. We also created the first kids’ surfskate, allowing children as young as 4 years old to experience surfing!

All of this because our goal is to popularize this incredible sport, as there are no limitations of age, body type, or even disability, that can prevent anyone from enjoying the pleasure and joy of surfing!

 The front truck, called the "surfskate truck." With a good surfskate truck, your surfskating experience is guaranteed! It may seem like an exaggeration, but it is the truck that determines what type of surfboard your equipment will simulate, what type of wave it will perform best on, and which skill level it is most suited for.

OVNI is the only brand in the world that has created three different models of surfskate trucks, with which you can create various setups in combination with the rear truck, different types of pads, springs, and bushings, in order to create diverse configurations for all types of requirements.

The other components of the surfskate also have their importance and influence the performance of the equipment, but what truly makes the difference is, definitively, the surfskate truck!

There are differences in almost every aspect of the equipment, such as wheels, decks, grips, etc., but THE FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENTIATING ELEMENT IS THE SURFSKATE TRUCK.

It was this specific type of truck that enabled the creation of a specific type of skateboard, making it so different from the others that it led to the birth of a new discipline - SURFSKATING.

All skateboards, without exception, have a front and rear truck set that are identical to each other, regardless of whether they are "street" or "inverted" trucks, or any other type.
This results in both trucks having the same turning angle when you lean the deck.

In a surfskate, this does not happen. Regardless of the model of surfskate truck used, its technology, or brand: when leaning the deck, the turning angle of the front truck WILL ALWAYS BE LARGER than the turning angle of the rear truck.
There are exceptions, such as dual-axis truck models with wheelbase features that offer little resistance to leaning, but the explanation of this phenomenon is very technical and not suitable here.

What’s important to note is that the difference in turning angles between the front and rear trucks aims to make the surfskate respond like a surfboard, where the front and rear parts have different designs and features to interact with the water differently. That is, the front part of the board slides laterally with ease, while the rear part is fixed to the wave wall, without sliding laterally, acting as the fulcrum of the curve arc.

Another difference is that the surfskate is a UNIDIRECTIONAL SKATEBOARD, while all other skateboards are bidirectional, meaning they can flow both forward and backward. The surfskate only flows forward, just like a surfboard, and this is not due to the shape, as with "old school" cruisers, but due to the trucks, as explained earlier.

There are "surfskates" on the market that allow you to even ride backward, but because of this, THESE ARE NOT SURFSKATES, even though they are sold as such.
There is a lot of misinformation in the market and poor-quality equipment in stores, where, due to the high demand for equipment and the high cost of real surfskates, many brands try to pass off products as surfskates that have nothing to do with them. These are what we call "snowboard simulators," which turn back and forth but don’t truly simulate surfing. Be careful!

Technically, it is the one with which it is possible to simulate surfing in the most faithful way.

Yes, but WHICH SURF?
There are different types of surf, such as classic surf with "longboard" surfboards, high-speed surf on giant waves with "gunboard" surfboards, agile and trick-oriented surf with "shortboard" surfboards, among others.

We know that there is no single surfboard for every style of surf, wave type, and skill level, just as there is no single surfskate capable of simulating all types of surfboards.

The best surfskate, therefore, is the one that most faithfully simulates surfing a specific type of surfboard, so you can truly feel like you're surfing with the same board you’re used to in the sea.

That’s why OVNI is the best surfskate in the world. It introduced, for the first time in surfskate history, various models to simulate surfing different types of surfboards, for various surf styles, wave types, and skill levels.

It’s the concept of the SURFBOARD QUIVER applied for the first time in surfskates.

What drives us is to make it possible to practice technical and physical training on rainy days or when there are no waves, to improve tricks and increase muscle memory, enhancing the ability to execute tricks when returning to the sea to surf. It also helped us to facilitate the learning of surfing with realistic training outside of the water, significantly reducing the time it takes to learn to surf in the sea.

 Until OVNI came along, with its innovative technologies, the surfskate was merely a "skateboard adapted for surfing," being a "generic" surf, with no real or declared similarity to any existing surfboard.

Now, for the first time in surfskate history, OVNI allows you to surf out of the water as if you were truly riding a surfboard - the same surfboard you’re used to taking into the sea, to surf in that specific style.
We then invented surfskates that simulate the same surf as LONGBOARD, FUNBOARD, FISHBOARD, SHORTBOARD, MINI SIMMONS surfboards.

Furthermore, OVNI created a kids' surfskate, with which, for the first time in history, 4-year-old children can begin their surf training outside of the water and join their parents in this wonderful adventure!

 The brand OVNI was not created by its founders, but rather by the slowness and lack of commitment to surfskating by other manufacturers.

Surfskates have existed for decades, but nothing substantial has changed since the invention of the first surfskate truck: they continued to make surfskates like regular skateboards, without any specific features, despite being an entirely different piece of equipment from any other type of skateboard.

Meanwhile, the evolution of surfboards has been overwhelming: new materials, new hydrodynamic solutions, new designs... true works of art made for the sport, and with that, surfboards made it to the Olympics.

We got tired of seeing surfskates treated so poorly.

As lovers of this sport, we decided to dive into this equipment, and after years of research, significant investments, and endless testing, what resulted were numerous innovations in almost every component of this equipment. We like to say that OVNI REINVENTED THE SURFSKATE.

Our way of seeing things differently made us feel like ALIENS. Our innovations took the surfskate so far ahead that OVNI is LIGHT-YEARS AHEAD of all the others.
